TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

PREMISES

  • The services provided by Yellow House are governed by these "Terms and Conditions of Service".

  • The "Terms and conditions of service" established by Yellow House will be understood and considered as an integral part of each individual storage contract and any other service that is entered into with the Client and cannot be separated from the contract itself.

  • By using the storage facility, the Client signs a contract with Yellow House (the Company) and fully accepts the following Terms and Conditions.

DEFINITIONS

  1. Luggage: bags and suitcases of varied sizes, clothing, accessories, and/or the set of items that a traveler carries.

  2. Client: the person who leaves the Luggage in one of the company's Luggage deposits for a limited time.

  3. Company: Yellow House

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

 

Yellow House can provide short-term storage for your luggage. Whilst we will make every attempt to ensure your Luggage is stored and handled with care, you should know that Yellow House accepts no liability for loss, delay, negligence, or damage under any circumstances. We advise you to take adequate travel insurance coverage.

  • The storage service provided consists of the custody of the Client's luggage/item by Yellow House in its own warehouses for a limited time. (15 calendar days)

  • Items containing flammable material, perishable goods, including liquids, weapons of any nature, bladed weapons, explosive material, drugs, animals, wet clothing, and any other item not permitted by law and/or that by its nature or packaging may cause some damage to people, the environment and/or the rest of the luggage stored, are strictly prohibited.

  • By using the storage facility, the Customer declares that he is responsible for its content and undertakes to indemnify Yellow House in any case for damages, direct and/or indirect, that may be caused by the luggage or its content and/or by any item stored for any claim, legal action, and request for compensation. Hereby Yellow House and its owners exempt themselves from all liability in civil and criminal jurisdiction within Guatemala and/or abroad.

  • The Customer acknowledges and accepts Yellow House's right to inspect the content of any stored item, as well as to refuse, at its sole discretion, the storage of any item deemed dangerous and/or oversized and/or of high economic value.

  • The Client is informed and accepts that the luggage stored by Yellow House can be inspected by the police authorities and INGUAT.

  • Yellow House will keep all items in storage; In no case will Yellow House be responsible for any direct or indirect damage that may result from the storage of luggage.

  • Yellow House's liability for consequential damages to the Customer and/or third parties is excluded in all circumstances.

  • Luggage storage facility and transportation service prices may vary depending on the size of each piece of Luggage and the length of time it is stored.

  • The Client at the time of the delivery of the luggage in the deposit must provide his identification (international passport as the only accepted document) and telephone number, failing that, the Company cannot accept the storage. The Client must also inform the depot staff about the date and time of collection.

  • The Client undertakes to provide their personal data and authorizes the deposit staff who will check in the luggage, to photocopy or scan the Passport, with the sole purpose of completing the service. That identification copy as an attachment to the paper Luggage check form or digital file will be returned to the Customer or removed from our database at the time of the Luggage claim.

  • Yellow House will provide the Client with a pre-printed identification voucher for the return of luggage that will be possible even temporarily, within the daily closing hours.

  • In case of loss of the receipt by the Client, he must provide the staff in the warehouse with the same identification or, failing that, personal data that can be verified, as well as the description of the stored luggage. In case of discrepancies with the original identification provided, the Client acknowledges and accepts that Yellow House will not be able to return any claimed Luggage.

  • In case of non-collection of the luggage by the Client within the closing hours of the deposit, the Company will store the luggage for the next 5 days, with the corresponding charges of the daily price, after which the luggage will be destroyed or sold.

  • Yellow House will not be responsible in case of breach of any of its obligations due to force majeure (such as but not limited to, natural events, floods, earthquakes, landslides, fires, strikes, demonstrations, terrorist acts, criminal acts of third parties such as theft, fire, etc.) and in any case due to circumstances that do not depend on the control of the Company.

  • Yellow House reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
